
Terri Kirby Erickson is the author of six collections of poetry.
Her awards include the Joy Harjo Poetry Prize, Atlanta Review International Publication Award, Nazim Hikmet Poetry Award, Nautilus Silver Book Award, 2013 Leidig Keynote Poet at Emory & Henry College and many others.
In addition to the individual publications listed below, Terri’s poetry is also in a variety of anthologies including Healing the Divide: Poems of Kindness & Connection and How to Love the World: Poems of Gratitude and Hope (edited by James Crews), and others published by Old Mountain Press, Silver Boomer Books, the Hickory Women’s Resource Center, the Cape Fear River Foundation, Main Street Rag (Kakalak), and Texas Review Press (The Southern Poetry Anthology).
Her articles and essays have appeared in national and international publications, including Maria Shriver’s Architects for Change, O.Henry Magazine, PainPathways, Land Rover Monthly, BoomerCafe, Broad Street Review, Winston-Salem Journal, and more.
She has taught poetry workshops in libraries, high schools, universities, churches, medical centers, and other venues, and was an instructor in the continuing education program at Salem College.
